A good fit if

You're replacing carpet with hardwood
You're building or remodeling, and the floor has to meet new cabinets and trim
You have hardwood in some rooms and want it in the rest
The house is empty before move-in, which is the easiest time to install

When to choose something else

If the subfloor has an active moisture problem, we fix the source before any wood goes down.

For a basement or a concrete slab, luxury vinyl plank is usually the better choice.

What the free estimate includes

We measure the job, check what's underneath, and go over your options in the rooms they apply to.

You get the scope and price in writing, usually by text.

Your options

The choices that change how the floor looks, lasts, and costs.

Solid hardwood

Three-quarter-inch boards. They can be sanded and refinished several times over the life of the floor.

Engineered hardwood

A real wood top layer over a stable core. Better over concrete slabs and in rooms with more humidity.

Finished on site

Sanded and sealed after installation. Smooth seams and any stain color you want. The finish needs time to cure.

Prefinished

Finished at the factory, so there's less time on site. Boards have a small beveled edge.

What affects the price

How it works

Four steps from your first call to a finished floor.

STEP 1

Tell us about the floor

Call or send the form. A photo of the floor helps. We'll talk through the job and set a time to see it if it needs measuring.

STEP 2

Get a written estimate

Scope and price in writing, usually by text. It's free, and nothing is due until you approve it.

STEP 3

We do the work

We set the date together, and a 50% deposit secures it and your materials. The crew does the work, cleans up, and puts your furniture back.

STEP 4

Inspect the finished floor

You walk the floor with us before you pay the remaining 50%.

Common questions

Can you install hardwood on a second floor?

Yes. We check the subfloor for flatness first, then plan how the new floor meets the top of the stairs.

Do I need to move out during installation?

Usually not. You lose the rooms we're working in. If the floor is finished on site, it's easier to be away during the coating days while the finish dries.

What happens to my baseboards?

The small trim at the bottom of the baseboard, called shoe molding, comes off and goes back on. Baseboards usually stay in place. If they need to come off, we'll tell you before we start.

How small a job do you take?

About 100 square feet. One room, a landing, or a closet is enough.
